Their steel body is coated with vitreous enamel, fired at high temperature. The steel keeps thel light, at around 185 g. The enamel creates a smooth, non-porous surface that holds on to no odours, no flavours and no coffee or tea stains. They are as much at home in the kitchen or the office as at the campsite, in a van or around the fire, where you can use them to warm a drink over a low flame. The contrasting rim highlights a rounded edge that feels comfortable on the lips.

Use and precautions

• To warm a drink, place the mug over a low flame or at the edge of the embers. Never heat it empty. The handle gets hot too: hold it with a glove or a cloth.
• Not microwave safe.
• The enamel stands up to everyday use, but it may chip if dropped or knocked hard.

Care

• Wash in hot soapy water and dry straight away to keep the shine.
• For stubborn stains, soak with a little bicarbonate of soda, then rinse.
• Do not use steel wool or abrasive scourers.
• If the enamel is chipped, dry the mug thoroughly after each wash, as exposed steel can rust.

Good to know
The enamel is kiln-fired: small specks, slight variations in colour or tiny irregularities are normal and are not defects.
