Madacha is an online store dedicated to handcrafted and responsibly made objects from cultures around the world, strongly inspired by the lifestyle of Russian datchas: simplicity, nature, and human warmth.
Are your products really handmade?
Yes, the majority of our items are handmade in full or in partially by partners selected for their expertise and commitment to responsible production.
Orders & Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payments by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). All payments are secure through Stripe.
Can I modify or cancel my order?
You can modify or cancel your order as long as it hasn’t been shipped. Please contact us promptly at contact@madacha.com.
Shipping
Where do you ship?
We ship to France, the European Union, and most non-EU countries.
What are the delivery times?
In France, delivery usually takes 2 to 5 business days. In Europe, expect 4 to 8 days. For international deliveries, timing may vary.
Can I track my parcel?
Yes, you will receive a tracking link as soon as your order has been shipped.
How to pay for customs duties?
When applicable, customs duties are paid by the customer. Our products exclude customs duties and include VAT of the country of the delivery address.
Products & Quality
Are your products durable?
Our items are built to last. We focus on robust, natural materials and time-tested techniques.
Are there variations between products?
Yes. As the products are handmade, slight variations in color, shape, or size are normal and reflect their authenticity.
Some items show marks (rust, irregularities…). Is that normal?
Yes. For raw steel barbecues or untreated items, natural marks may appear. They do not affect the product’s strength or functionality.
Returns & Refunds
Can I return an item?
Yes, you have 14 days after receiving your order to return an unused item. Please contact us beforehand to receive return instructions.
Who covers return shipping costs?
If the error is on our end or the item is defective, we will cover the cost. In other cases, return shipping is at the customer’s expense.

How do you choose your suppliers?
We prioritize small-scale workshops that are transparent in their practices and committed to fair, ecological production. We meet in person all our suppliers and check their certifications when applicable before placing orders with them.
Are your products eco-friendly?
As much as possible, yes: natural or recyclable materials, minimal packaging, and no mass production.
