250 ml enamel mug, light and sturdy, from kitchen to campfire

Its steel body is coated with vitreous enamel, fired at high temperature. The steel keeps thel light, at around 165 g. The enamel creates a smooth, non-porous surface that holds on to no odours, no flavours and no coffee or tea stains. It is as much at home in the kitchen or the office as at the campsite, in a van or around the fire, where you can use it to warm a drink over a low flame. The rim highlights a rounded edge that feels comfortable on the lips.

Highlights

  • Light and sturdy: enamelled steel, around 165 g

Use and precautions

  • To warm a drink, place the mug over a low flame or at the edge of the embers. Never heat it empty. The handle gets hot too: hold it with a glove or a cloth.
  • Not microwave safe.
  • The enamel stands up to everyday use, but it may chip if dropped or knocked hard.

Care

  • Wash in hot soapy water and dry straight away to keep the shine.
  • For stubborn stains, soak with a little bicarbonate of soda, then rinse.
  • Do not use steel wool or abrasive scourers.
  • If the enamel is chipped, dry the mug thoroughly after each wash, as exposed steel can rust.
