African baskets

All the baskets and trays which we sell are "Fair Trade" certified. Our partner in Uganda was awarded this label in 2007.

Since the early 1980's, Uganda Crafts has been working with communities to provide widows or handicapped women who live in villages with a stable and sustainable income. They are educated and trained continuously to increase their skills and ensure their financial safety.

Each item is unique and handwoven from local natural resources. They are made from palm tree and banana stalks.
